Job Description: Trinity is conducting a search to fill the position of Organist and Director of Music, chiefly for our principal Sunday worship service at 10:30 a.m. This position entails working with a small choir, currently consisting of SUNY Fredonia students and parish singers. Choir practice is held each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. when the choir is in session during the academic year. The organist will need to be present for additional services during the year, including Christmas Eve, Holy Week, and Easter.  

The liturgical form of worship derives from the Book of Common Prayer and the Hymnal 1982. The organist is responsible for providing a prelude, postlude, and anthem for each service. All music of the liturgy is chosen in coordination with the rector. Organ is a versatile 1928 Casavant Freres, with additions c. 1992: 2 manual/pedal; 17 ranks; EP key action.

As a member of parish staff, the organist will receive compensation for additional services and events, including wedding and funeral services. Attending the Diocesan “Safe Church” program and a background check are required. Trinity seeks an individual who will engage in parish life and be an artistic presence in the community. 

Salary/Compensation: $7,500 annually with three Sundays of vacation.
